Summer Camp 2025, Summit Bechtel, WVA, July 20 - 26

Whether you are a new scout or Eagle there is so much to do at this camp besides Merit Badges. Check out Summit Bechtel Reserve's 2025 Summer Program Planning Guide for more information.  To reserve your spot, sign up on the Troop website (https://www.bsa993.org/node/3128) and pay a $50 deposit to the Troop Treasurer. The annual swim test will be at the GW Rec Center from 3:00 - 4:00pm on Sunday March 30 and Sunday April 27. This will satisfy rank requirements and is needed for Summer Camp, and any water based activities planned by the Troop.

A reminder to sign up on the Troop website for the bike hike campout, as it's only a couple of weeks away. It's time to dust off the bikes and check that they work. Does your helmet fit? Do a few neighborhood rides to be prepared. Permission Slip: https://forms.gle/ERCQsg9a1w1NUjh1A

On Monday March 24 there will be a "Gear Swap" at the Troop meeting. Clean out those closets and bring along any old scouting/camping items (clothing, hiking boots or camping gear) that you no longer need, so others may use it. Bring something and or take something!

A reminder that the next Philmont payment of $500 per participant is due by April 7.
