A swim test (hosted by Troop 876) has been scheduled from 3:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday, June 1st at the George Washington Rec Center to conduct annual swim tests.

There is an opportunity to staff Accotink Bay Day Camp at Gunston Hall June 23-27. Scouts can earn upwards of 35 service hours. 

 

This year's Day Camp theme is Invention Convention! We have stations like Games (team games, obstacle course), Scout Skills station (knots, compass skills, et cetera), Science & Nature or Arts & Crafts, and Water Rockets This is an excellent opportunity to showcase and build leadership skills with youth and adults.

2. Fill out two attached forms (Day Camp Staff Agreement, Day Camp volunteer application)
3. For Scouts 14+ year olds, submit proof of completion for 
1. YTP (expires after July 2025)
2. Den Chief training
3. Hazardous Weather training (expires after July 2025)
4. For Scouts BSA under 14, submit proof of completion for 
1. Den Chief training
2. Hazardous Weather training (expires after July 2025)
3. Must have a unit leader present.
5. All Scouts earn service hours for their work
